Our story
The story of the Rózsaligeti kennel and the love of komondors started in 2018, when we moved to a farm and wanted "just a good guard dog" that could stand the cold, heat and was "compatible" with sheep and horses.
Then we got to know the komondoros better and became more and more admirers of this wonderful breed every year. Now we have 5 komondors (3 females and 2 males) guarding our farm on 5 hectares.
They have two sides: on weekdays they are working dogs, guarding the farm, including the horses and sheep. On the other hand, at the shows they show their classy selves and achieve good results. We are especially proud of Zalai Subás Ékkő and we have high hopes for Sziget Királya Acél and Sziget Királya Apaj, who are just starting to learn the world of shows.
Our love for poodles goes back more than 30 years, since Hilda got her first black medium poodle bitch dog, Szimat, in 1990. Since then we have also had poodle dogs (Gottardo Best Looking Boy and Atami Shakira), who also have achieved good results at national and international dog shows.
What we are proud of is that we are able to keep and raise these two very different breeds of dogs with very different sizes, temperaments and habits together, who live their daily lives in great harmony, interspersed with great games and wrestling with each other, giving us a lot of joy and happy moments.
